MUSIC - FILM - ART - THEATRE  _  Milwaukee - Chicago
For the "Wisconsin Masters Series: H.S. Moynihan (1902-1994)" exhibition, that had run from late 2008 into 2009 at the Charles Allis Art Museum in Milwaukee, the estate of noted Wisconsin artist Helen Schadel Moynihan commisioned TAYLOR Studios, Ltd., http://www.milwaukeevideoproduction.com to produce an animated "virtual art gallery" video production in anticipation of the event.
To capture aerial transfer stills of each of dozens of the artist's represented works, high definition video technology was employed. The areas of contrast, accurate color grading and even illumination were paid particular attention when the video digitization was being recorded. Kino-Flo (http://www.kinoflo.com) color-corrected fluorescent illumination, and Panasonic HD camera technology (http://www.panasonic.com) were the primary video production tools chosen for this project.
55 watercolor paintings, oil paintings, and graphite and charcoal drawings by Moynihan were represented in this significant retrospective.
The Keynote software program from Apple (http://www.apple.com) is what was used to program, composite, and render computer animation for the virtual art gallery.

The Estate of Wisconsin Artist H.S. Moynihan, in conjunction with Video Production Company TAYLOR Studios, Ltd. of Milwaukee creates Virtual Art Exhibition to display the Artist's Paintings.

The Iowa-born Helen Schadel Moynihan used the initials H.S. as a means of blending in and to promote herself, due to living in an era that was dominated by male artists. The Chicago Academy of Fine Arts and the Art Institute of Chicago were the two schools she had studied at before relocating to Milwaukee, Wisconsin upon her marriage in 1920. Painting through an array of the 20th-century art movements, from Cubism and Social Realism, Impressionism through Fauvism, she demonstrated a proficient range of expressionism through still life, landscape, and portraiture. These themes detailed her adopted Wisconsin home through scenes of fishing boats off Lake Michigan's shore, compositions of Sendik's produce, and rural images of the Kettle Moraine. The vibrant color palette that permeates this entire collection is frequently represented in pure primary hues.
